Kat had a great new camera. She took a lot of photos while we were there, and here are some photos of her taking photos of other things! :)
While we were there, Mom introduced us to a FANTASTIC game called Rummikub. I don't often just WANT to play a board-type game, but this game was easy to learn, fun to participate in, and could be played with only two people (a huge plus). We played it almost non-stop whenever we weren't eating, sleeping or out and about at the ranch. I highly, highly recommend it. I went home and bought my own copy, I liked it so much. Here, Aunt Carolyn, Mom, me, Michael, JR and Kat ponder a game.
A cool photo of the lake. Sadly, there was very, very little rain (if any) this entire summer, and the lake was not flowing over the dams as it normall does, and it was filled with algae and the levels were very low. We managed to go canoeing, but swimming was almost impossible. The foreman had told us, too, that they had spotted several water moccasins in the river, so that kind of put us off swimming as well! :) Wouldn't it put you off too?
Do you notice something about this photo? It's upside-down. :) I like the effect of having the sky look all dreamy and the reflection so sharp.
This is a view of the river from the house up on the cliff. That circle is surrounding a group of three HUGE fish. Can you see them?
