New Year's Eve 2004 - about to be 2005!! Lane, Lila and I spend New Year's Eve at JR and Michael's, where we were treated to a wonderful dinner and a fun gathering of friends. Marija, Thomas and Kale were there - we'd met them before, but this was the first time we'd had a chance to really visit with them. It was really nice. They're all great people. We knew Lila wouldn't make it until midnight, so around 11, we went outside for some Fun With Sparklers. As we were leaving, we let go of balloons tied with pieces of paper onto which we had written our hopes for the coming year. (Lane's got stuck in a tree down the block and he and JR had to go and fish it out!!) Here are some photos from the fireworks.
