OK, so I've decided to make a page of people I'm looking for or things I need help on. Maybe one of my kind readers will know something and will ! This page will be updated as I discover other things I need help with, so check back, OK? THANK YOU!!
Catherine BensonI'm looking for information about Catherine Benson. I am guessing she is somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 years old (give or take a few years). She used to live on Donna Dr. in La Palma, CA in 1990. She was writing a book about the pioneers of the LA/Orange County punk movement (with perhaps a focus on the band Social Distortion). I ended up with a tape that belongs to her and I'd like to return it if I can track her down. if you know where to find info on her. THANK YOU!
Tom W. CraftUpdate 9/27/06: Found!!TOM IS FOUND!! He's in California and doing well. He was searching for info on Tim Stander and found my site through Google - I'm first for searches on Tim, which is crazy - and emailed me himself. THIS ROCKS!! Tom is a friend of mine from college. We were extremely close for years, but we just lost track of each other through various circumstances. Tom has moved to and from Austin, back to Boulder, CO where his parents live (or used to live!), and he was last heard from in January 1997, he was living in Richardson, TX, working for a hospital there, living with his girlfriend Michelle. He has worked in the insurance field as well as in the restaurant industry. He loves sports and likes to gamble. He's a music fanatic and dreamed about opening a combination music store/coffee house. He attended SWT in the late 80s, and POSSIBLY spent time in the Midland/Odessa area for high school. He has, as I recall, two sisters, both married, on living in TX and one living in CA. His birthday is 12/3 and he was born in the late 60s. Lane and I are not the only people looking for Tom. One of his oldest friends, Tim Stander, is also looking for him, as is JR. If you have ANY CLUES about his whereabouts (or if you're Tom Craft himself!) PLEASE PLEASE . I miss him so much. I hope he's well and happy, wherever he is! (Here is a page I created for Tom ages ago; it has some photos, in case someone recognizes him!)
A BookTHE CROW BOOK HAS BEEN FOUND (see info below)....This book is still missing. The book that is still missing is a book that has these details: children living in or next to an ancient house and garden, an enchanted ferris wheel (that possibly enables the children to time travel), magic, a climb up the side of a cliff with someone shooting enchanted arrows at the children, maybe a dog....this is all I can remember right now. Any help to find this book is greatly appreciated.
Update 4/13/03: Found
Thank you the three of you who have written me about this book. Kat wins the prize (there is no prize) because she found it first, on eBay, and I now own a first edition copy of it. The book is "The Secret of the Seven Crows" by Wylly Folk St. John (1974). The trouble now is that I have realized after reading it that I have confused it with another book I have read during this time (give me a break, I was only 6 and I only read it once), a book with these details: children living in or next to an ancient house and garden, an enchanted ferris wheel (that possibly enables the children to time travel), magic, a climb up the side of a cliff with someone shooting enchanted arrows at the children, maybe a dog....this is all I can remember right now.
SO, the crow book has been found! THANK YOU Kat and the two other folks. You ROCK!
Two crows, joy Three crows, a wedding Four crows, a boy Five crows, silver Six crows, gold Seven crows, a secret, never to be told.
A PaintingUpdate 8/30/04: found!Charles Anton Pfahl AMAZING to finally know who this is. A wonderful friend from Paris, Gui found him for me. He even located a book of his works (Artist at Work by Joe Singer) on eBay that I bid on and won! I learned that the painting below is of Mr. Pfahl's wife, Charlotte. :) THANK YOU, Gui!
I saw this painting in Columbia, MO in a local restaurant, "The Upper Crust". I HAD to photograph it.
See, see how pretty (beautiful!) it is? It was big, too, around 4 x 6 feet!
A closeup of the signature on the painting.

Update 8/12/03: found!
Callisia (Spironema) fragrans - common name: Inch Plant, Basket Plant or Spider Plant

This has got to be it!! But I have never seen it flower in the 8+ years I've been growing it!! But this sure looks like it!!
A total stranger (Robert T. Wyatt) solved this for me. How sweet, right? :)
This was given as a cutting from a friend's plant, and I've given out countless cuttings over the years, but never had any idea what it was until Robert solved it for me. THANK YOU ROBERT!!
