Various 2006 Photos

Lane & me during a carriage ride downtown. You can see the top of Lila's head. :)

Courtney, me and Tim at a party at Knox & Michael's. Don't you LOVE Courtney's shirt? I love love it! Also, Tim has moved back to town after being gone for almost a year. We're so happy to have him back!

Even though this picture is kind of freaky, I love the dual effect of our faces. We were having a lot of laughs that night and this photo sort of FEELS like how I felt then. Oh, and even though you can't see much of it, this is my Favorite New Dress. I bought it on sale at Bealls (which makes it better, right?) and it's very mod and swishy. I found the perfect shoes for it; hopefully I'll be able to show it to you later in toto.

JR and Michael had J9, Kearson, Lane and me over for dinner a bit back, and here J9 and I pose so you can see J9's growing belly. (You can also check out my shoes! Hot pink high heels! Fabulous!)

JR and J9.

Girlfriends!! :) Soon-to-be Mommy Friends, too!! I love love all the smiles J9 has these days. All smiles. Soon to be sleep-deprived, but still smiling, I assure you.

And BAM, right into Sondra's busted ankle. :) How's that for transition. Gore! Horror! Post-surgery ankle! Sondra has had a bum ankle for years and years, and this past year, her job has caused it to be so painful that Sondra has been in and out of physical therapy and now to warrant surgery. It has something to do with a tendon or ligament stretching out and being clipped and cut and attached to another tendon or ligament. She's got to take it easy and wear a boot for a month or so, but afterwards, hopefully she'll be good as new! This photo was taken the second or third day after surgery.

A Sphinx Month that rested by our porch for three days. It had these gorgeous hot pink inner wings that you don't see here. Lila put the little yellow plastic butterfly there so the moth would have a friend! :) How sweet is that?

Something you do not want to see: water leaking from your foundation. The plumber was called, and it was fixed, at least for the moment, and we didn't even have to bust up the slab. :) Hopefully we WON'T have to do that. This summer's drought was very rough on sidewalks, foundations and on some of our doorframes. Yikes!

A final photo of a large group of turtles we fed at the beach. They were in a pond outside of one of the hotels. We fed them leftover waffles, which, hopefully, wasn't just horrible for them to eat. Lila loved feeding them.
