I take my new haircut on the town! - March 2005

So Sondra was coming into town the night I got my hair done, and I had TOTALLY kept it a secret from her that I was doing this, so when she arrived, it was a COMPLETEL SHOCK AND SURPRISE!! She thought at first I was wearing a wig, but as she got closer, she realized it was my real hair and freaked out!! J9 had known all along, but she helped me surprise Sondra. It was so worth not telling her!! Actually, I haven't told many of my friends that I got this done, so many will be seeing it here for the first time, or if we've met in person since then! (Kat is coming this weekend to visit from LA, and if she hasn't checked my website since then, it will be a total surprise to her, too!!)
I hope you enjoy these photos from what was a gathering to have drinks with Sondra but also turned into the debut for my new hair. Thank you to Lane, who stayed home with Lila so I could go out!! Thank you to J9 and to Jon for sharing their photos! (I didn't even bring my camera, can you imagine?!?)

Me, feeling SASSY! I was looking at all these photos, and it mostly turned out to be "get your photo taken with Dana" night, or something close to that (I didn't get mine with Kearson!! DRAT!) and I can tell I was feeling pretty giddy that night, just from the expression on my face in all these photos. You'll forgive me for my SASSY WAYS, won't you? I'd just gotten all my hair cut off and surprised Sondra!! I have earned my sassiness!!!
And on that note, Sondra's and my boobs. :) Please don't ask me why we take these photos. I don't know.
With J9! (I know you can't see them very well, but I'm wearing the earrings my mom wore as she left her wedding reception for her honeymoon with my dad! How cool is that?)
Sondra and Jeff. Sondra hadn't seen Jeff in months and months, but when she saw my hair, she was like "excuse me, Jeff, but I HAVE TO GO SEE DANA'S HAIR!!!" I'm glad she has her priorities straight, aren't you? ;)

Me with David. I hadn't seen David in a very long time, so this was fantastic to me that he was there. I'm glad we got a photo together, even though it looks like he's choking me! He's not, his arm is just HUGE! I showed him this photo and he was all "my arm IS big", like he never realized it before!! (Note the scratch on his hand, given to him by his kitty. :( It looks pretty bad, but it didn't seem to bother him much.)
Jeff and me. It was also a surprise to see Jeff! I hadn't seen Jeff in about as long as I hadn't seen David, so it was a nice night of reunions for me, too!
