Xiang & Mr. Daisy

I know you probably think I have ENOUGH going on with Pitter (Pitter Pirate Underfoot), Grits (Tubby Grits Tribbleman), Pumpkin (Pumpkin Umpkin Splishsplish) and Edie (Edith Marie Sedgewick), but I ALSO have Xiang and Mr. Daisy (no full names yet for the birds, sorry!). We're Noah's Ark around here, don't you think? :)

Xiang (prounounced by us - incorrectly, I'm told! - "Chang") is a male budgie parakeet and Mr. Daisy (Daisy for short) is a canary (I think either a "Common" or "Roller" canary). We've had Xiang (it means "to soar" in Chinese) for about two years now, and Daisy was given to me a few months ago by a friend who couldn't keep him any longer, and they are fine company for each other. Usually, they each have their own cages, but from time to time, I put one in the other's cage and let them hang out. They love it!

Because they're so active and COMPLETELY IGNORE me when I tell them to "stay", it's hard to get good photos of them. I hate the bars on the cage, too, so last night, when I put them in Xiang's cage together, I stuck the camera IN the cage and shot a few shots. I hope you enjoy these!
