We Went Dancing!
Here Lane and I are at what USED to be the best place in Austin to go dancing. I was going to say the name, but they suck so badly now that they don't deserve my online plug.
We USED to have GREAT times there; it drew the most interesting, laid-back crowd, with a wonderful atmosphere of couches and gauzy room dividers and amazing music. Everyone danced, and the dancers were all UNIQUE, not like going to some clubs where everyone is doing the same "white guy" bounce or lame moves. I LOVED this club. I hate them all the more for disappointing us all this way.
If you want to go somewhere fun in Austin, try Le Privilege (horrible name, good club) on 10th and Red River. The fire dancing was there, and they have some great DJs spinning on weekends. There's even a wonderful fireplace for those cold nights!
