Girls' Nights in 2006

next page

So, I actually managed to go out a few time in 2006, mostly with Sondra but twice with groups of girls. Rather than split them up into individual events, I'm going to just throw them all on three pages. Enjoy!

Sondra and I heading out for a local Karaoke bar. We were both feeling a little down around that time, and we went out on a lark on a Tuesday or a Wednesday, sometime in late January or early February (no, it wasn't that cold at the time!). We went, and we were easily the most fabulous girls at the bar (did I mention it was the middle of the week?). The bar was filled with "regulars", and we ended up talking and laughing with a whole crew of folks. We left feeling lovely and charismatic and generally renewed. And I, personally, was so pumped up that I went home and shaved my head. LOL! Just another ordinary day at Dana's house!!

And then there was the obligabory groping. I don't know when or how we started grabbing each other's boobs for the camera, but we do it, so get used to it. I'll be 80 and still grabbing Sondra's boobs, I guarantee it!

What will we grab next? We consider our options.

Me, last photo pre-haircut. Did you notice that I have only one earring in? I'm determined to single-handedly bring back the 80s. I saw LEGWARMERS on someone the other day, so maybe it's working!!!

OK, so this is (obviously) a different night, a night in March when J9, Sondra, Kathleen and I went out for a "girls' night" to go downtown to try to spot celebrities during the SWXW film festival. I'm not sure how it happened, but our "girls' night" ended up including Jeff....more on him and our time later. ON TO MY DRESS AND WIG!! LOL!

OK, first, how much do you love my dress?? Post-baby, it's fantastic to find a dress that I feel not only cute in, but also THIN, and this dress is The One. I felt very 50s vixen in it, and I teamed it up with the black wig, cat-eye eyeliner, and red, red lipstick, nails and toenails. I DO NOT, as a rule, ever, ever wear red lipstick (I can think of only one or two other times in my life); red lipstick required the exact right skin-tone. If you don't have it, you're going to look like a fool in it. It can even make your teeth look horribly discolored, so beware of the red lipstick unless you're totally committed to the "look". (Oh, and do you LOVE my shoes???)

I'm only including this photo so you can see my fabulous earrings - cherries!!

Lane takes a great photo of my eyeliner. Liquid liner is sent from heaven. I'm convinced of it. Only liquid liner could give this kind of hard line.

Sondra comes to pick me up. Yay, someone else is driving!! :)
