Watching the Fire Dancers
One night out watching the fire dancers.
It was a cold night, with a nice breeze, and we were outside on a large stone patio with the cliff face behind us. Before the fire dancing started, there was a bubble machine blowing bubbles high into the air that fell over us as we danced to the BEST band that actually wasn't a band at all, but were just a bunch of girls jamming together for the first time. My new friend Pennina was there, which made me very happy, and we were quite fabulous, though you can't tell under our coats!
The show was amazing, with the dancers performing with staffs, batons, chains, flaming headpieces, and with finger wicks. Maybe later I will tell you about when one of the performers set her face on fire. :( (She's OK, but it could have been Very Bad....)
