Carnaval 2007 - Silliness
As I am wont to do with my Carnaval photos, I "messed with" several in PhotoShop and got some really nice effects. Below are some of those photos, as well as the ones I consider to be a little silly, taken for fun, but still cool photos.
B/w of me in my test makeup, artfully manipulated using this cool Calculations method I learned from an online artists' forum. If you want to know what it is, and I'll share it with you.
It was only after Jennifer suggested it that I even considered taking some shots without my headdress. I'm glad I did, because I could move my head in different ways!! I could only be completely upright with that headdress on, or it would topple to the ground!
Holding my headdress, lit up by the lights.
Even more so. I will tell you that you could find me almost anywhere at Carnaval, just because of my lights. I'm telling you, people, these lights are the WAY TO GO.
Years back, I did this "psycho clown" costume for work and I was crazed all day. We did a series of me like this that reminded me of that costume and that attitude. Rage! I'm filled with Clown Rage!! On another note, can you see how reflective the glitter is on the green makeup. It really was an amazing effect. I learned so much from this year's makeup and costume. Wait until next year!! I am seriously thinking that next year (2008) is going to be my last fully original, brand-new costume for a few years. I have so many cool costumes from the past, ones people haven't even seen, most likely, since they were so long ago (well, not including you web folks, naturally!), so I think that after next year, I'm going to recycle and try to reuse at least portions of costumes from prior years. So you're warned! !! It's the only solution right now; I'm honestly running out of room to store my costumes, they are getting so big!! We had to put the jester headdress in a lawn storage bag and hang it from the ceiling in our garage, it's really that bad!! More on next year's costume later.
More of the b/w manip using calculations...Love it!
Yes, I'm licking the bell. What of it??? ;)
I so love those eyelashes. They were hard to put on, but totally worth it.
I thought this looked really cool this way, particularly the black where the lights were across the bottom. PhotoShop is fun. :)
