Carnaval 2006 - Chrystal, Carnaval Virgin!!!
This was Chrystal's first Carnaval. It shows, right? Clearly, her costume just isn't elaborate enough or interesting enough or tall enough to hang with the rest of us, right?? NOT!
Chrystal knocked it out of the park this year, with very little to go on other than my online photos, she took her inspiration and ran with it, making an incredible costume, complete with elaborate makeup. She told me that since she's a "Carnaval Virgin", she thought it was fitting to wear white. :)
Chrystal made every bit of her costume except for her pasties (and we'll forgive her for that). I love this shot of her makeup and lashes here. She also wore this long, long blonde wig that looked great. I think she'd make a great bleach blonde (she's naturally a brunette).
In the hotel, feeling sassy. She even made herself this little purse that had all her "necessities" in it. Chrystal amazed us all! I think she amazed herself a little!
A detail in her headdress that I never noticed until these photos: the tiny little rhinestones along the trim of the pearls. LOVE IT!
I love these sheer sleeves trimmed with tiny feather boas. They were so light and free, yet added such drama to her costume.
I love this photo of Chrystal spread out underneath us all, laughing her butt off. We had a LOT of fun.
Striking a pose!
I love this very classic pin-up girl pose. Chrystal, above all the rest of us, rocked the different poses. I got so tired of seeing pose after pose of me with my one arm up; it's refreshing to see Chrystal be so creative in her poses.
