Pitter!

Pitter is our Boston Terrier, and our first son. As of this writing (January 2004), Pitter is four years old. He's extremely intelligent, and can identify about 50 different toys and 20 different friends of ours. He LOVES to play, especially with "baby balls". He'll chase them for literally hours, until he falls down flat like a pancake. He loves to give kisses and to play tug. He's incredibly strong for such a small dog (he's 15 lbs) and can jerk you off your feet if you're not careful! He loves the water and will swim like a little tugboat to get a ball or frisbee. He LOVES the hose and to devour basketballs.

Pitter is abnormally attached to "Big Dog", a big red plush dog toy of his. He sucks on Big Dog's head to go to sleep and is beside himself if he can't find him. We're starting to be a little concerned about Big Dog's condition, as he is RAPIDLY declining and, well, gross. I've sewn him up more times than I can tell you. Hopefully we'll get another year or two out of him, but after that, we're in trouble.

Pitter's full name is "Pitter Pirate Underfoot". He's named after a long series of Pitters that my family has had, so I guess he's Pitter number three. "Pirate" comes from the name his original parents were calling him, because of his eyepatch, we assume. "Underfoot" is because he just IS underfoot, almost constantly. We almost didn't get this Pitter, as I had my sights set on a little female puppy in the same family, but Lane found this Pitter, a little runt of a boy trying to keep up with his brothers and sisters, who just plowed over him. Lane said, "If we were going to get a little boy, we could get this one," and he put him in my lap. I fell in love instantly, and we walked away with this little boy. I actually still cry when I think of how we could have ended up not having him. How nuts is that? :) That's how much we love him. He's our bunny.

Oh, and one other thing....Pitter is full-blown CRAZY. :) Follow the links above to see more about him and the trouble he gets into.
