My Husband Lane
Lane and I have been married for almost six years (as of January 2004). We met YEARS ago, when I was 12 or 13 and he was in high school with my brother Loyd. We didn't start hanging out until I was in my early 20s, however, and then we became fast friends. We watched ALL KINDS of television together, almost every night, and I cooked for him and for other friends. Unfortunately, at the time, I was about to be married to someone else, but when that marriage ended, Lane and I became close again and this time we ended up dating. We got engaged on Valentine's Day 1998 (remind me to tell you that story; it's really good) and married the following Christmas. Our wedding photos are amazing; it was such a wonderful day. :)
Now, years later, we have a three month old daughter, Lila. She's the main joy of our lives, if you don't count the puppies, especially Pitter. :) Lane is a graphic designer and a writer. He's had several articles and technical pieces published, but hasn't yet had a book published, though he's written TWO of them. He participates yearly in NANOWRIMO, the National Novel Writing Month and loves it. He playes EverQuest once a week or so (more, before Lila came along) and enjoys roleplaying. He plays DnD once a month with my brother and some friends.
Lane is a wonderful husband and father. I have been lucky enough to find someone with such patience and humor and who knows pretty much everything there is to know about me and - GASP! - still loves and LIKES me. It's fantastic, and I couldn't imagine being with anyone other than him to raise Lila and to build a life. Please explore the pages linked from the menu above to learn more about Lane. There are photos of him spread elsewhere in my site, too, just about EVERYWHERE, so feel free to browse around. Please forgive me for not having more photos of Lane; he's usually the one BEHIND the camera, so it's hard to pin him down to get on the OTHER side. :)
